is a bespoke and custom hand-crafted furniture shop with over 80 years of history and experience.
We are proudly the fourth owners and have slowly transitioned from Michael W. Greene Antique Reproductions & Restorations
to our name Southern Roots Designs.
Lyle has apprenticed from 2016 - 2021, and took ownership in 2022.

After 5 years of training, Lyle received his Certificated of Completion for Furniture Design in March of 2021. His teacher, Anna's Dad, has over 50 years of experience in hand crafting designer furniture.
Giving Back
As furniture designers and crafters, we are well aware that harvesting trees costs our planet and environment precious resources. We are passionate about how we can make a difference and give back to our community and planet. Our goal is to plant and bring back the American Chestnut, amongst other tree species as well. Starting in 2025, for every 250 board feet of wood we purchase for projects, we plan on purchasing one tree and planting it on our property & in our community as a family project.
